Terms of Use

Welcome to WANDER. WANDER is a random city-walk app: it creates a random route for you, keeps you company on the way, and records the paths you take. These Terms are an agreement between you and the operator of WANDER governing your use of the app. By using the app, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the app.

1. Our Services

WANDER offers random route generation, walking navigation, exploration records, custom navigation arrows and navigation voices, and community sharing (browsing, liking and using arrows and voices published by others). Community features require a network connection and may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, network issues or force majeure. All other features work offline.

2. No Registration Required

WANDER does not require you to create an account. To tell community content from different devices apart (for example, the works you publish and your likes), the app generates an anonymous device identifier stored in this device's Keychain. This identifier is tied to your device, so your existing community content cannot be transferred if you switch devices.

3. Safety on the Go

Random routes are generated by an algorithm from public map data and may pass through construction zones, roads without sidewalks, restricted areas or places that are poorly lit at night. Always obey traffic rules, stay aware of your surroundings, judge for yourself whether a route is safe, and stop or change course immediately if needed. Navigation prompts are for reference only; do not stare at your screen for long periods while walking. WANDER is not liable for any personal injury or property damage resulting from your failure to exercise reasonable care.

4. Content You Publish

The navigation arrow images you upload, the navigation voices you record, and your nickname, bio and profile picture are shown publicly in the community, where other users can browse, like and use them. Please make sure you hold the necessary rights to anything you publish. You must not publish content that is illegal, infringes the rights of others, is pornographic or violent, is advertising or spam, or is otherwise inappropriate. You keep the rights to your works, and you grant WANDER a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display and distribute that content within the app for the purpose of providing community features. You can take down your works at any time under "My shares".

5. Content Moderation

WANDER may remove, without notice, any content that violates these Terms or applicable laws and regulations. In serious cases, we may restrict the device concerned from using community features. If you come across inappropriate content, please let us know via "Feedback".

6. Intellectual Property

The WANDER name, logo, interface design and program code are protected by law. Map data is provided by Apple Maps and is subject to its applicable terms. You may not reverse engineer, copy or use the app for commercial purposes without permission.

7. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

We do our best to keep the service stable, but we make no guarantees about the accuracy of routes or the precision of distance and step counts. To the extent permitted by law, WANDER is not liable for any indirect losses arising from the use of, or inability to use, the service.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as features change or as required by law. Updates will be announced in the app along with the new effective date. By continuing to use the app after the changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.
